The “Lago di Braies” (Italian) or “Pragser Wildsee” (German) lake is a popular tourist destination that attracts visitors for the blue/emerald green color of its clear waters and for the natural scenery in which it is immersed. The lake is surrounded on three sides by Dolomite peaks and is located within the Franes – Sennes – Prags Nature Park.
We visited this wonderful area in the late summer. The Gosau lakes area is simply amazing. There are no words to describe its beauty enough, so it is necessary to see it. The name of the three lakes comes from the village Gosau which is a much-loved alpine village and is famous for its famous lakes.
