Valdresflye Scenic Route, Norway

The Norwegian Valdresflye Scenic Route is a panoramic view of the mountains and at the same time a gateway to the Jotunheimen National Park. After driving a few kilometers north of  Beitøstolen suddenly you find yourself on a huge plateau overlooking the peaks of the national park, above the forest line. It is a road heading north and at the same time a viewpoint looking at the eastern part of the Jotunheimen National Park. The road provides travelers with many resting places and parking lots like Rjupa or Flye 1389 where they can rest, admire the views, or spend the night. After a short turn onto Jotunheimvegen, there is a parking lot from which you can go on the beautiful Mjølkevegen cycle route. And about half of this scenic route, there is a turn to the amazing place of Gjendesheim on the fjord Gjende, from which you can make a wonderful hiking trip to the Besseggen Ridge. This whole area of Norway is simply gorgeous.
