Cycling route Mjølkevegen along the road named Jotunheimvegen
Out & Back
Mjølkevegen is a cycling route from Vinstra to Gol, passing through beautiful mountain landscapes and summer farm areas. It has been voted as one of Norway’s most attractive cycling routes and is a part of National Cycling Route No.5.
We were starting at the parking lot on the route Jotunheimvegen which is paid for cars and free of charge for bicycles and motorbikes.
The parking lot is on a short turn off the scenic road Valdresflye.
The road offers wonderful views of Lake Vinstre itself, as well as the local farmhouses, and the nearby peaks of the Jotunheimen National Park.
Due to lack of time, we did not ride the entire route, but after about 18 km we turned around.
However, we will come back because the beauty of the local nature and surroundings deserves it.
