About 40 km from the French town of Cerbère is a Spanish natural park that we wanted to see, and that is Cap de Creus in Catalonia. According to the available information, the entry of motorhomes is prohibited on the last approx. 6 km section. But there is a regular bus from the town of Cadaqués. Thanks to such information, we discovered a very pleasant place to park and spend the night in this picturesque town, only 250 m from the house of Salvador Dalí, who lived here for 50 years and whose house is now a well-visited museum.
Well, in the end, everything was different. Out of high season, the bus runs only on weekends, but we were there on a weekday… But a permit for the entry of motorhomes can be obtained from the local police. Within a few minutes and for free. And so we enjoyed the park to the fullest – first by driving through its quiet beauty and then on the hiking trail leading to the tip under the Cap de Creus lighthouse. The day dedicated to this beauty of nature was flawless. The following night with a wind of 80 km/h really couldn’t throw us off.
Official information about the Cap de Creus Nature Reserve can be found here.
