We visited the park in the autumn. The Gesäuse, selected as a national park in 2002 is known for its breathtakingly beautiful, unapproachable landscape. The park is located in the heart of Austria literally as seen on the map:

This Lighthouse is built on the southernmost point of the Norwegian mainland. It is a popular destination for travelers in motor homes also because there is a large parking lot in its immediate vicinity with the possibility of overnight stays. It is a park on the border with the Czech Republic. On the other side of the river Thaya (called „Dyje“ on the Czech side), there is a Czech National Park Podyji. We discovered both of them.

Although southwestern Norway does not offer breathtaking snow-covered mountain ranges, glaciers with waterfalls, or unique fjords. Nevertheless, it can provide unprecedented beauty and experiences. We visited the area several times in spring, summer, and autumn. The whole area is beautiful and offers a variety of activities, and is only a few tens of kilometers apart from the Hohe Wand Nature Park which is worth a visit as well.
