North Cape in Norway

The North Cape is a 308-meter-high rocky promontory in northern Norway, sometimes mistakenly referred to as the northernmost point of continental Europe. The northernmost point of the European mainland is Cape Kinnarodden on the Nordkinn Peninsula.

The North Cape, also known as Nordkapp, has become an iconic destination among travelers to Scandinavia. And so we didn’t leave it out of our wanderings either. We didn’t expect much, and so it didn’t disappoint us. But Norway, in particular, offers much more beautiful natural scenery. However, the iconic steel globe is not built on it. We believe it has become the magnet that attracts travelers, whether in motorhomes, cars, on motorcycles, or bicycles.

There is a large parking lot. Not asphalted. And often windy, as it was during our stay there. The parking fee for a two-person motorhome is 209 NOK per 24 hours (as of 2024).

The last digital memory of our previous year’s wanderings through Europe is dedicated to this iconic place, Nordkapp. We believe all the following memories will be dedicated to beautiful North American places.
